The Violet Window

I call these wall sculptures "constructed paintings." They are made entirely of wood and I use a process of paint layering and oxidation creating interesting texture and color depth.

This body of work is really about the openings in each piece. reminding the viewer, when we look out a window.. we see the world, and when we look in a window.. we see ourselves. This piece is titled "The Violet Window.”
